About Mudd‘n’Me

The idea behind MuddnMe is very simple. It is not just a business, but a mission to connect us with our roots. Emerged from the heartland of India, MuddnMe aims to bring together the diverse cultures of our nation.

Given the diverse background of our country, India is home to more than 50 types of traditional tribal arts. However, with the onset of industrialization in nineteenth century, growing urbanization and our constant movement towards machine made products, a number of art forms today are facing the risk of extinction. Moreover, as these art forms lack economies of scale, the production cost becomes very high.

Although, there are a number of organizations and NGOs that are engaged in keeping Indian art alive, sometimes a compromise on quality, to keep costs under control, can’t be negated. Further, the rural and tribal artisans who spend many days to craft a piece of art at times are not paid well, because of which a number of people are moving towards alternate employment opportunities.

While the situation might sound somber, there are a number of people and organizations which are relentlessly working to popularize Indian art forms and uplift the standard of living of rural and tribal artisans. MuddnMe works with the same philosophy, beliefs and values. We want to build a socially responsible enterprise that not only aims to keep Indian art alive, but will fetch the fair price for the efforts of Indian artisans, while providing highest quality products to the customers across the globe.

Currently, we are working with Rajasthan based hand block artists. Our product portfolio includes handblock home furnishing items such as bed sheets / bedspreads, bed covers, Jaipuri Rajai / quilts, Dohars / AC comforters among others.
